Cass Lake, Cass County (trfnews.i234.me) — Police arrested a Minneapolis woman during a burglary call.

Investigators say fentanyl was found later during a jail search.

Jordan Janine Johnson, 31, is charged with fifth-degree drug possession and fourth-degree burglary.

Charges are allegations. Defendants are presumed innocent in court.

What authorities allege in Cass Lake

According to a criminal complaint, the incident happened on February 8, 2026, around 4:30 p.m.

Police were patrolling near 4th Street and Ash Avenue in Cass Lake.

An officer recognized Johnson and said she had an active warrant.

Police arrested her on that warrant.

Police wrote that Johnson showed signs of impairment.

They noted bloodshot eyes and slurred speech.

They also noted slow movements and tight pupils.

During a search, police say they found burned tin foil and used needles in her purse.

Police also reported finding several food items they believed were stolen.

Johnson told police the items came from a woman using an EBT card.

Police said she could not show a receipt.

Police then went to Leech Lake Market.

Police said the store had issued Johnson a trespass notice on December 9, 2025.

The notice barred her from the store for one year.

Police said the video showed her hiding items and leaving without paying.

Investigators also checked a nearby home tied to the call.

They later said the home was under construction by Lennar.

They said it was not being built by M/I Homes.

Inside the home, police reported finding a cigarette lighter.

Police also reported that an interior garage door was off its hinges.
