Cass Lake, Cass County (trfnews.i234.me) — A Cass Lake woman faces four felony drug charges after a search warrant led to a large seizure of suspected methamphetamine and fentanyl, according to court documents.

Chelsea Lurinda Cantu, 35, is charged in Cass County District Court with two counts of first-degree drug sale and two counts of first-degree drug possession.

Search warrant details

The criminal complaint says investigators executed a search warrant on February 16, 2026.

The search happened at a home on the 300 block of Grant Utley Avenue in Cass Lake.

The complaint says officers knocked, announced themselves, and entered the residence.

Several people were in the living room when officers entered, the complaint says.

What investigators say they found

According to the complaint, Cantu was sitting on a couch near a table.

Investigators say the table had visible drugs and packaging supplies.

The complaint says Cantu had a black satchel wrapped around her body.

Investigators say she ran into a bedroom after seeing law enforcement.

The complaint says officers found Cantu in the bedroom.

During a search, investigators say they found two bags of white powder on her.

The complaint describes the substance as suspected fentanyl.

It weighed about 82 grams with packaging, the complaint says.

Investigators also recovered the black satchel, the complaint says.

Inside, the complaint says they found five bags of suspected methamphetamine.

The total weight was about 387 grams, according to the complaint.

The complaint also says Cantu’s identification was inside the satchel.
