Cass County: Woman Charged After DUI Crash & Assault
Cass County (trfnews.i234.me) — A Fargo woman faces several charges after a crash and a reported assault on deputies during her arrest. The incident happened on November 25 in the 6800 block of 45th Street South.
Officials say 24-year-old Genesis Avery Lee drove into a ditch before deputies arrived. Court records outline the events in a detailed probable cause report.

Deputies say Lee resisted arrest. She struck one deputy with the back of her head and kicked another deputy in the face. Records say she also spat in their direction. The complaint states the spit and blood hit all three deputies.
According to officials, Lee gave false information to deputies at the scene. She claimed another person ran away into a snowstorm. That information was not true. The claim caused officers to request more help to search for someone who was never there.
The report also states Lee drove while under the influence of alcohol. She also drove with a suspended North Dakota driver’s license. Deputies took her to a hospital for testing.
According to the complaint, Lee refused a court-approved blood draw. That refusal led to more charges. She also received citations for reckless driving and having an open alcohol container.
Eight Charges Filed
Court records show eight charges. They include simple assault on a peace officer, bodily fluids on law enforcement, false information to law enforcement, and DUI refusal. Records also list several driving-related charges.
Court Hearings Scheduled
A preliminary hearing is set for January 16 at 1:30 p.m. A felony dispositional conference is set for February 12 at 1:30 p.m. More information is available through North Dakota Court Records.
Lee was treated at a hospital before being booked into the Cass County Jail.
