Cass County (trfnews.i234.me)Zachary James Pederson of West Fargo is facing serious criminal charges following an incident involving alleged threats toward his former employer. According to court documents, Pederson, reportedly intoxicated, quit his job at Gateway Building Systems. Subsequently, he allegedly sent a photo of a handgun accompanied by a message stating, “I’m going to cut a workforce in half. Somebody effed with the wrong guy”

Law enforcement officers located Pederson at his residence, where he was found heavily intoxicated. He refused to provide a breath test and was transported to Essentia ER for medical clearance before being taken to jail. During the investigation, officers discovered stolen license plates in his garage. Pederson’s wife handed over his cell phone and the handgun depicted in the earlier photo to the police.

Pederson is now charged with felony terrorizing and misdemeanor theft of property. The case underscores the importance of addressing workplace conflicts and the potential consequences of threats and intimidation.
