Cass County, North Dakota (trfnews.i234.me) — A man named by police as a suspect in the early Sunday morning shootings in Fargo has now made an initial court appearance in a separate shooting case.

Caundre Douglas appeared in court Wednesday afternoon in connection to a July 22 shooting in South Fargo. He is facing four felony charges, including two counts of aggravated assault and two counts of reckless endangerment, after a man was shot in the leg during that earlier incident.

According to the charging documents, on July 22 at approximately 11:40 p.m., Fargo Police responded to reports of gunfire in the parking lot of 2701 32nd Avenue South. A witness told officers she observed a group of around 20 individuals arguing when a blue sedan drove by and someone began firing from the rear driver’s side window. She described the shooter as a “skinny African-American male, around 20 years old.”

The witness said she took cover, but a bullet entered her third-floor apartment, passing through multiple walls while people were inside. Meanwhile, a male victim later arrived at the hospital with a gunshot wound to the leg. He told police he had just parked across from the apartment complex and was about to cross the street when he was hit.

Investigators recovered 13 shell casings from the scene, consistent with gunfire from a moving vehicle. Eight bullet impacts were documented on nearby apartment garages and the building structure.

Douglas, who is also a suspect in the early Sunday morning shootings in downtown and south Fargo that left multiple people injured, remains under investigation in that separate case. Tyrque Jones, another suspect in the Sunday incident, remains at large.

Formal charges related to the Sunday shootings are still pending as investigators continue their work.
