Cass County Man Charged in Casselton Motel Assault
CASSELTON, NORTH DAKOTA (trfnews.i234.me) — A Waubun, Minnesota man is facing a felony charge following an early morning altercation at a Casselton motel. According to Cass County court records, the incident occurred on October 11 around 2:03 a.m.
Authorities say a deputy responded to a report of two men fighting inside a local motel. Surveillance video allegedly shows Garrett P. Davis of Waubun approaching another man from behind and placing him in a chokehold. The two men reportedly fell to the floor near the employee desk during the struggle.
Davis denied the allegation during questioning but was arrested at the scene. He is now charged with felony Aggravated Assault in Cass County District Court. No details were released about the extent of the victim’s injuries.
