Cass County (trfnews.i234.me) – Kimberly Soper, a resident of Moorhead, Minnesota, has been sentenced following a violent incident at a Fargo gas station that endangered her children and multiple bystanders.
On August 13, 2024, Fargo Police responded to reports of a disturbance at Simonson’s Gas Station on Main Avenue. Upon arrival, officers found Soper’s three children in the back seat of her vehicle and detected the smell of alcohol on her. Witnesses reported that Soper approached a woman, made incoherent statements, and then assaulted her by choking and biting her ear. She also pulled another individual’s hair and punched a third person. During her arrest, Soper resisted officers and damaged a vehicle’s license plate.
A search of Soper’s vehicle revealed open liquor bottles, 24.1 grams of marijuana, and drug paraphernalia. She refused to participate in DUI testing.
Soper was charged with multiple offenses, including child neglect, aggravated assault, simple assault, and possession charges. She pleaded guilty to several counts and was sentenced to 120 days in jail, with credit for 94 days served, and one year of supervised probation.
