Cass County (trfnews.i234.me) — A man from Illinois is facing a felony charge in Cass County following a violent domestic incident at Pine Ridge Resort.
According to court records, deputies were called just after 9:00 p.m. on August 19, 2025, to a report of a domestic assault at a cabin on Sarajac Road NE. When deputies arrived, they found a woman with dried blood on her mouth, arms, knees, and legs. She was also actively bleeding from her elbow and mouth, and had visible red marks and bruising on her neck.
The victim told deputies that her spouse, Darrin Lyle Snow, 48, of Springfield, Illinois, had returned intoxicated after leaving for the casino. She said an argument turned violent when Snow pushed her to the ground, punched her, and later pinned her to a bed, strangling her with both hands. The victim reported she feared for her life as Snow allegedly told her he was going to kill her.
Deputies reported that Snow refused to answer most questions and claimed the victim’s injuries were self-inflicted or caused by the terrain. He was placed under arrest and charged with felony domestic assault by strangulation. The charge carries a maximum penalty of three years in prison and/or a $5,000 fine under Minnesota law.
This case remains under investigation. More updates may follow as it proceeds through the Cass County District Court.
