Fargo (trfnews.i234.me) — A Cass County case charges a Fargo woman with assaulting an officer during a bar disturbance.
Court documents name the defendant as Elizabeth Marie Nance, of Fargo. She faces one count of felony simple assault on a peace officer.

The complaint says the incident happened on November 27, 2025. It was reported just before 11 p.m. at the Bismarck Tavern on Broadway.
Bar staff reported a disturbance involving two men. The argument was reportedly linked to Nance.
Officers spoke with people at the scene to sort out what occurred. One officer then tried to talk with Nance about the dispute.
According to the complaint, Nance did not cooperate with that contact. She allegedly punched the officer in the eye.
Nance was arrested at the bar after the alleged punch. She was later booked into jail on the felony assault count.
Felony simple assault on an officer can carry significant punishment. North Dakota law allows for prison time if there is a conviction.
The case is moving through Cass County District Court. Public records, including hearing dates, can be viewed at ndcourts.gov.
State assault laws and related penalties appear on the North Dakota Legislative Branch site at legis.nd.gov.
Advocates say people affected by violence can seek help. CAWS North Dakota lists service providers and hotlines at cawsnorthdakota.org.
At this time, the charge against Elizabeth Marie Nance remains only an allegation. She is presumed innocent unless a judge or jury decides otherwise.
