Cass County, ND (trfnews.i234.me) – Former Cass County Sheriff’s Deputy Carson Quam is heading to trial on January 26, 2026, facing 10 felony counts related to the possession of prohibited materials, according to court documents.
The charges stem from a search warrant executed at Quam’s home, during which law enforcement reportedly seized eight items, including phones, a laptop, a tablet, and a USB drive. The digital evidence is central to the prosecution’s case.
In June, District Court Judge Daniel Narum denied a motion by Quam’s defense to suppress evidence collected during the search, keeping the materials admissible for trial.
A pretrial conference is set to take place via Zoom on Monday, December 15, 2025, at 11:15 a.m.
This case has raised significant concern, given Quam’s former role in law enforcement.
