Cass County: Ex-Deputy Pleads Guilty To Child Sex Material

Cass County, ND (trfnews.i234.me) — A former Cass County Sheriff’s deputy has pleaded guilty to five counts of possessing child sex abuse material.

Court records say Carson Quam entered conditional guilty pleas on Friday. The conditional pleas let him appeal a June ruling. That ruling denied his request to suppress evidence from a home search.

Quam first pleaded not guilty to 10 counts on Jan. 29. Records show he changed his plea on Dec. 12 in District Court.

What “conditional” plea means

The conditional pleas keep one legal issue alive on appeal. Quam can challenge the June decision on the search. If he wins that appeal, the case could change.

Search warrant and seized devices

The case began after investigators served a search warrant at Quam’s home. The warrant led to the seizure of eight items. Those items included phones, a laptop, a tablet, and a USB drive.

Defense attorney Mark Friese argued the warrant lacked a strong link. He said there was not enough tie between the home and the evidence sought.

Court documents say Quam admitted viewing pornography on a work cellphone. Law enforcement had already taken that phone before the home search.

State response and the judge’s ruling

Prosecutors argued that investigators had enough reason to search the home. They cited information about Quam’s living situation and internet access. They also cited statements in the investigation.

The state also noted Quam downloaded a TOR browser to his work phone. TOR can help hide browsing activity and location. Prosecutors said the facts supported a home search.

The judge denied the motion to suppress in June. That ruling is now the target of Quam’s appeal.

What happens next

A pretrial conference set for Dec. 15 is now canceled. A jury trial set for late January is also canceled.

The court ordered a pre-sentence investigation and a risk assessment. A sentencing date has not been set.

Sadly , the end result of trafficked women and children vastly go to endpoints primarily classified as not only individuals with fame behind them and the spot light , but also certain government officials that “protect and serve🙄” , privatized groups of wealthy sacrificial origin, some corrupt religious organizations, etc. Additionally, there “may be” the assistance of a widely known alphabet agency primarily operating this way in metropolitan and inner city areas actually assisting in the acquisition of said individuals. I can tell you this for a fact , people capable of being able to psychologically rationalize to themselves this level of inconceivable evil and go through the numerous mental check points of committing these acts are literally just straight demonic . There’s really no other way to describe it . It’s absolutely sick , our how system is a scam and corrupted , and this type of stuff is being done a lot of times right in our faces by people we know and/or know of and/or “respected people “ in a position of power and the public eye . People need to wake the hell up . This is a level of evil that would make satan himself jump out of his seat . Private contractors and operators need to be contracted to hunt these people down . This has become way to frequent (once is too much ) and needs to be dealt with properly . I’m absolutely disgusted EVERY TIME I see news like this . Makes my skin crawl and gives me major triggers . The problem just like with anything in the world that is good , is that there is always a way to disguise these acts and conceal them because ironically but not surprisingly, there are LOTS of individuals within law enforcement, political positions, and other seemingly credible seats that are involved and would go down as a result of the true exposure of all of this . And that would affect the entire system infrastructure and its dynamic function . Are some people extorted and forced to be involved jn order to make sure they keep their mouth shut and do what their told ? More than likely yes . And that ladies and gentlemen could potentially be the the hook line and sinker of this entire cesspool operation. I encourage you all to verse yourself in understanding psychology and how to ACTUALLY properly assess various signs , situations, and behaviors that add up to that being a probable outcome .

    To the officer this add is about; you are a weak minded mentally sick and probably demonically possessed vagrant that needs to be dealt with PROPERLY .

    1. David Gillett You’re talking about Fargo or Walker Minnesota cuz somebody else thought they were talking about Minnesota and they’re not. They’re talking about a cop from North Dakota They all need to be looked into it. Don’t matter which county though or state. There’s at least one person per building per county. That’s doing something wrong like this. A lot more doing other things but definitely at least one pedophile in every place
