Cass County (trfnews.i234.me): Electrical Malfunction at Fargo Business
Emergency crews responded to a reported electrical malfunction at Red River Cleaning Services in Fargo on Tuesday afternoon.
The incident occurred at the company’s location at 3343 South University Avenue.
Radio traffic from first responders indicated there were loud crackling sounds coming from electrical equipment along the side of the building.
Firefighters arrived quickly on scene and confirmed that Xcel Energy was called in to assist with what appeared to be a significant electrical issue.
Authorities reported no injuries at the scene.
Employees were evacuated as a precaution while crews investigated the source of the problem.
Officials said the issue appeared to be isolated to exterior equipment and did not cause visible fire damage inside the business.
As of Tuesday evening, no further details had been released about the cause of the malfunction.
Firefighters remained on scene for an extended period to ensure the area was safe before power restoration could begin.
Red River Cleaning Services is a local Fargo company providing commercial and residential cleaning.
According to initial reports, electrical arcing may have caused the loud crackling sounds heard by nearby residents and workers.
Xcel Energy technicians were dispatched to the site to assess damage and restore power safely.
Updates on the incident are expected once the company completes its inspection.
Residents are reminded to stay away from downed power lines or electrical hazards and to report issues directly to Xcel Energy or local authorities.
