ARTHUR, N.D. (trfnews.i234.me) – On January 23, 2025, at approximately 2:40 a.m., deputies from the Cass County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to the Good Samaritan Center in Arthur, North Dakota, following reports of a missing 47-year-old male resident. Staff were uncertain if the individual had exited the facility or his possible direction of travel. At the time, temperatures were below zero degrees Fahrenheit.
The Arthur Fire Department, along with multiple resources from the Cass County Sheriff’s Office, initiated a search of the surrounding area. A wireless Everbridge notification was also disseminated to alert the community about the missing individual.
Shortly after 5:00 a.m., a passerby informed dispatch of an individual walking along County Road 4 and County Road 11. Deputies responded and confirmed the person was the missing resident. The individual was safely returned to the Good Samaritan Center without any known medical issues resulting from the incident.
The Cass County Sheriff’s Office expressed appreciation to the Arthur Fire Department and community members for their vigilance and assistance in the successful resolution of this case. The incident underscores the importance of community collaboration in maintaining resident safety.
