Cass County (trfnews.i234.me) – TRF News has learned that felony drug charges have been filed following an August crash in Casselton. Kelly Lynn Sund is now facing multiple charges tied to meth trafficking.

According to court records, Sund was traveling northbound on August 14 when she attempted a left-hand turn in front of an oncoming pickup truck. The vehicles collided, leaving the pickup driver with minor injuries. Sund suffered serious injuries and had to be extricated from her vehicle by emergency responders.

During the crash investigation, officers discovered a bag inside Sund’s vehicle containing 154 grams of methamphetamine along with other drug paraphernalia. Testing has since confirmed the substance.

Sund is now charged with felony possession with intent to deliver meth and felony possession of drug paraphernalia. Records show she has a prior drug case in Burleigh County.

The case highlights the continued challenges law enforcement faces with meth trafficking in North Dakota. For more information on state drug laws and penalties, visit the North Dakota Courts Public Access resource page.
