Cass Co. Man Pleads Guilty to Federal Gun, Drug Charges
CASS COUNTY (trfnews.i234.me) – A Fargo man has pleaded guilty in federal court to multiple drug and firearm charges tied to incidents in 2023 and 2024.
According to federal prosecutors, Leotis McGee entered guilty pleas to possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, possession with intent to distribute a controlled substance, and a second count of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
The charges stem from an August 2024 incident when West Fargo Police stopped McGee around 1:15 a.m. for riding a bicycle without a headlight. After officers discovered he had active warrants, McGee allegedly shoved the bike toward an officer and attempted to run. He was quickly caught, and officers found marijuana, fentanyl-laced pills, and a firearm in his possession.
Court documents also note McGee was previously arrested in a 2023 traffic stop where drugs and a firearm were also seized. His guilty plea this week consolidates charges from both cases.
McGee is scheduled for sentencing on January 9, 2026. He remains in custody pending that hearing.
