Cass County, Hackensack (trfnews.i234.me) – A Hackensack man is facing multiple felony charges following a domestic violence incident earlier this week.

According to court documents, deputies responded to a home in Hackensack on September 3 after receiving a report of a man threatening to kill a woman with a knife.

When deputies arrived, the female victim opened the door, and Daniel J. Wylie allegedly refused to obey commands to get on the ground. He physically resisted before being subdued and handcuffed.

The victim told deputies Wylie had assaulted her several times over the past five or six months. On this occasion, she said he grabbed her by the hair, pushed her head into a wall, and threatened her with a knife.

Deputies recovered the knife at the scene. Wylie is now charged with felonies of assault with a dangerous weapon and domestic assault, along with a misdemeanor charge of obstructing the legal process.

Court records also show Wylie has two prior convictions for violating no-contact orders, adding to the seriousness of the case.

Officials have not released further details on upcoming court proceedings. The incident remains under review by Cass County authorities.
