Cass County (trfnews.i234.me) – TRF News has learned that a Fargo man is now facing a felony charge after a reported armed robbery in downtown Fargo. David Andrew Taylor of Fargo is accused of stealing a valuable watch at gunpoint.
According to court documents, the incident happened on September 17, around 10:30 p.m. Police responded to the 500 block of Main Avenue for a report of a robbery. The male victim told officers he was attempting to sell a Cartier Santos watch, valued at approximately $7,500, but listed for $1,900.
During the exchange, Taylor allegedly pulled out a Glock pistol and took the watch. The victim reported the theft, and officers quickly located Taylor. He was arrested and is now charged with felony robbery in Cass County District Court.
Court records also indicate that another man was with Taylor during the robbery, though that individual has not been charged at this time. The investigation remains ongoing.
Authorities remind the public to use caution when arranging in-person sales of valuable items. Police recommend meeting in safe, public locations, including designated exchange zones. For more on safety tips, visit the FTC Safe Market Transactions guide.
