Cass Co. Man Charged After Threats to Fargo Bank

CASS COUNTY (trfnews.i234.me) – A Fargo man is facing a felony charge after police say he threatened a downtown bank over the phone and later returned to the location carrying weapons.

According to court documents, police were called to the U.S. Bank branch on Broadway on September 18. Bank staff reported that Terry Albin became upset after his card was locked due to a fraud protection alert. He was given a phone number to resolve the issue, but allegedly left the bank angry, shouting obscenities.

Later that day, the bank received a threatening phone call. Investigators say Albin called the branch, threatened to blow up the bank, and then hung up. The call was traced to his phone number already on file with the bank.

While officers were on scene, Albin returned to the bank. Police detained him outside and discovered an axe and a pocketknife in his backpack. When questioned, Albin reportedly admitted to making the call, saying he wanted to be locked up. He told officers, “they’re stealing all my s***” and said he no longer cared about his freedom.

The bank was closed for the rest of the day as a precaution. No one was injured during the incident. Albin has been charged with felony terrorizing.
