Cass Co. Fargo Man Faces Child Neglect, Domestic Violence
Cass County ( trfnews.i234.me ) – A Fargo man is facing multiple charges in Cass County court, including felony child neglect. Court records show Carl Y. Millien has been charged with felony child neglect, misdemeanor domestic violence, and violation of a domestic violence protection order.
According to the documents, Millien allegedly shoved a female victim at her residence, despite a protection order being in place. During the same altercation, he allegedly bit her on the collarbone and threatened her with a screwdriver. Authorities noted that the incidents interfered with the proper care of children present at the time.
Prosecutors say felony child neglect is a serious charge that can carry significant prison time. The domestic violence and protection order violation charges add to the case. Millien is expected to appear in Cass County court as the proceedings move forward.
Officials emphasize that protection orders are issued to prevent further harm, and violating them can result in additional penalties. Resources are available in North Dakota for individuals facing domestic violence, including emergency shelters, hotlines, and counseling services.
Authorities encourage anyone experiencing or witnessing domestic violence to seek help immediately by contacting law enforcement or a local victim support service. All charges remain allegations unless proven in court.
