OTTER TAIL COUNTY, MN – Casey Wayne Parmeter, 31, was booked into the Otter Tail County Jail on February 28, 2025, for possessing a firearm and ammunition despite being legally ineligible due to a prior crime of violence conviction.
According to official records, Parmeter has been charged with:
- Possession of Ammunition or Firearm – Convicted of a Crime of Violence (Case 624.713.1(2), Felony)
- Possession of a Firearm/Ammunition While Ineligible Under Minnesota Law (Case 624.713.2(b), Felony)
Authorities have not yet disclosed the circumstances of his arrest, but firearm possession by a convicted violent offender is a serious felony offense in Minnesota, carrying potential prison time, fines, and extended firearm restrictions.
