Carol J. Lee, age 83 of Grafton, ND passed away on Tuesday, October 8, 2024 at her home with her loving family by her side.
Carol Jane Franklin was born March 30, 1941 near Donaldson, MN to the late David and Emma (Lindblad) Franklin. She attended elementary school at Donaldson and graduated in May 1959 from Kennedy, MN.
Carol and Earl Lee of Hoople, ND were married on July 2, 1960 at Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church of Grafton. They enjoyed camping at Lake of the Woods for 40 years. They spent nearly 51 years together before Earl passed away May 31, 2011.
Carol was employed at Northwestern Bell before their son was born in 1966. After that she became a Cub Scout Den mother and sold Avon for 20 years. She worked at Pamida, retiring in 2008.
Carol is survived by her son Darren Lee; grandson Seth Lee; and great grandchild Trenten Lee; brothers: Arthur Franklin, Floyd (Clara) Franklin, and Elmer Franklin; sisters: Marge Seeba, and Marlyce Ballingrud; aunt Eunice Swenson; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by husband Earl, four infant brothers, great granddaughter Aurora Lee.
Funeral services will be on Saturday, October 12, 2024 at 10:30 a.m. at Bethel Free Lutheran Church of Grafton, ND. Visitation will be at the church one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at Grafton City Cemetery.
