The female victim had left for the emergency room, while the male suspect, identified as 38-year-old Anthony Lee Libby Sr. of Callaway, Minnesota, remained at the scene with active arrest warrants.
Arrest Details
Upon arrival, officers received no response from Libby. After obtaining a key from the victim at the hospital, they unlocked the door but found it barricaded. Libby eventually complied and was taken into custody, then transported to Becker County Jail.
Victim’s Statement
The victim reported an intermittent eight-year relationship with Libby. She alleged that on the evening in question, Libby, exhibiting erratic behavior, threatened her with scissors, expressed a desire for her death, and physically assaulted her in the presence of their child. She also claimed that such incidents had occurred previously and that Libby had a history of illegal drug use and threats if she contacted authorities.

Records indicate that Libby has a prior conviction for a protection order violation in 2019.
