Becker County, MN (trfnews.i234.me) – Nathan Mark Hanson, 37, of Breckenridge, has been sentenced in Becker County District Court for felony fifth-degree drug possession and misdemeanor violation of a restraining order.

According to court records, late on the evening of August 25, 2023, an officer responded to a rural Detroit Lakes residence where a protected person reported that Hanson had violated a domestic abuse no-contact order by entering the residence.

Hanson admitted to officers that he went inside the residence and saw the protected party. Upon arrest, a baggie of meth weighing 1.53 grams was found on him.

For the felony charge, Hanson was ordered to serve three days in jail, with credit for time served. He was fined $500 plus $75 in court fees. On the misdemeanor charge, he was sentenced to three days time served and fined $100.

Hanson was also ordered to complete a comprehensive assessment, follow all recommendations including aftercare, and was placed on supervised probation for five years.
