Dakota County, Minnesota (trfnews.i234.me) – Two teens, Abdulahi Jama Ali and Abdikani Mukhtar Abdiwahab, both 18, are facing serious felony charges after a gunfire incident outside Burnsville High School on the evening of June 6.
The disturbance began during a confrontation between two groups flashing gang signs. Around 8:30 p.m., officers on crowd control duties heard shots near the school and found a Toyota Camry occupied by the suspects.
During the arrest, a bystander shouted at Ali, calling him by the nickname “Ksoe,” accusing him of missing his target. Officers recovered a handgun with an extended magazine, multiple shell casings, and damage to a parked car.
Witnesses said a person in a leopard print jacket hit the Camry before a gun was fired from the passenger window. DNA evidence from both suspects and the gun is under analysis.
Ali is charged with second-degree assault and two drive-by shooting counts, while Abdiwahab faces aiding and abetting charges for allegedly helping conceal the crime.
Ali remains in custody. If convicted, both teens face up to 10 years in prison.
