Burleigh County ( trfnews.i234.me ) – Authorities say multiple people were injured in a two-vehicle crash Friday evening on Interstate 94 near mile marker 186 in Burleigh County. The crash occurred at approximately 5:45 p.m. on August 29, 2025.
According to the North Dakota Highway Patrol, a 2021 Chevrolet Express Van driven by 54-year-old Tina Valeu of Mayville was traveling eastbound in the left lane when the crash occurred. A 2017 Ford F150, driven by 95-year-old Albert Weber of Linton, was in the right lane and attempted to make a U-turn using a median crossover. The Ford entered the van’s path and was struck on the driver’s side.
Both Valeu and Weber were transported to CHI St. Alexius in Bismarck for treatment of their injuries. Authorities confirmed both drivers were wearing seatbelts.
The Chevrolet Express was carrying six passengers, all members of the Mayville State University Golf Team. One passenger, ages 19–25, was also transported to CHI St. Alexius with injuries. The other team members were not reported injured.
Eastbound traffic on I-94 was reduced to one lane for about an hour while the crash was investigated and cleared. Agencies responding included the North Dakota Highway Patrol, Burleigh County Sheriff’s Office, Sterling Rural Fire, and Metro Area Ambulance.
