Burglary Suspect Charged With Pulling Knife On Deputy

OKLEE, MN (trfnews.i234.me) – Cody Landrus, 33, of Brooks, Minnesota, is facing multiple charges following an incident at E & J Grocery in Oklee. On the night of July 21st, Red Lake County deputies responded to a burglary alarm at the store. Upon arrival, they spotted Landrus fleeing the scene, holding items including cigarettes and a bottle of alcohol. He appeared to be injured and was picking up items from the ground.

According to court documents, as deputies attempted to handcuff Landrus, he pulled out a knife. The deputy pushed away from him, and Landrus was subdued with a taser and subsequently arrested. A glass door at the store had been shattered during the burglary.

Landrus, who has a brain injury from a previous shooting incident, is now charged with three felonies: burglary, first-degree criminal damage to property, and threats of violence.
