BROWN COUNTY, MINNESOTA (trfnews.i234.me) – A two-vehicle crash Tuesday afternoon sent both drivers to the New Ulm Medical Center after a collision at Milepost 94 on Highway 14 in Home Township, Brown County.
Authorities report that a 2024 Nissan Versa, driven by Carter James Haala, 20, of New Ulm, was traveling eastbound on Highway 14 when it collided with a 2007 Ford F150, which was heading southbound on 225th Avenue and entered the intersection.
Both vehicles’ airbags deployed. Haala and the Ford F150 driver, Patrick Aloys Hoffmann, 79, of Sleepy Eye, were treated for non-life-threatening injuries. Both men were wearing seat belts, and alcohol was not a factor in the crash.
Responding agencies included the Sleepy Eye Police Department, Brown County Sheriff’s Office, Alina EMS, and New Ulm Medical Center.
