BROOKS, MN (trfnews.i234.me) – In a deeply troubling case out of Red Lake County, Minnesota, 33-year-old Joseph Cole Wulfson of Brooks has been charged with felony child torture and gross misdemeanor malicious punishment of a child. According to court documents, the charges stem from an incident on July 11th, when a tipster reported to a Red Lake County Deputy that they had video evidence of Wulfson brutally beating a child.
The deputy’s report states that the video shows Wulfson headbutting the child and then hitting and shoving the child repeatedly for approximately 2.5 minutes. Throughout the video, Wulfson strikes the child around 25 times and knocks the child down three times.
Upon his arrest, Wulfson reportedly told the deputy that he was disciplining the child for lying. When asked if he thought his actions were excessive, Wulfson admitted that he did.
