Brooklyn Center Man Charged in Snapchat Sex Video Case

Brooklyn Center, Minnesota (trfnews.i234.me) — A Brooklyn Center man faces a felony charge after police say he shared private sexual videos online without consent.

Jacob Oldman Wisdom Johuna, 29, of Brooklyn Center, is charged with nonconsensual dissemination of private sexual images. The charge is a felony under Minnesota Statute 617.261.

What authorities allege

According to the criminal complaint, the alleged posting happened on January 2, 2026. The victim told police her ex-boyfriend, Johuna, posted explicit videos on Snapchat. Police say the posts were public on his account.

The victim learned about the posts from her sister, the complaint says. The videos reportedly showed the victim and Johuna during their past relationship. The victim told police she did not agree to any sharing.

The complaint says the victim feared damage to her reputation and her job. The victim’s sister contacted Johuna by text, the complaint says. Police say he replied with a profane message.

The statute covers sharing images that show a sexual act or exposed intimate parts. The law also requires the person to be identifiable. Prosecutors say those elements apply in this case.

Arrest after a separate call

Police later responded to Johuna’s apartment for a separate disturbance, the complaint says. Neighbors reported threats and loud behavior. Police believed he was in a mental health crisis.

Police arrested Johuna at the apartment and took him into custody. The complaint links the arrest to the earlier harassment report. Investigators also documented the social media posts described by the victim.

Court status

Court records show the case was filed on January 6, 2026. Johuna remains in custody, according to the complaint summary. Bail was set at $40,000 without conditions.

Judge Carolina A. Lamas approved the bail decision. Future hearings will be scheduled in the district court. Criminal charges are allegations.

A defendant is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
