Brooklyn Center, Hennepin County (trfnews.i234.me)—Authorities Seek Public Help in Fatal Hit-and-Run Case
Brooklyn Center police are investigating a tragic hit-and-run that claimed the life of a 26-year-old man on Thursday night, January 30th.
Officers responded to reports of an unconscious male around 10:22 p.m. in the 6800 block of Humboldt Avenue. Despite immediate life-saving efforts, the victim was pronounced dead at the scene. Investigators determined that the man had been struck by a vehicle, and the driver fled the area without stopping.
The victim’s identity has not yet been released, pending family notification. Brooklyn Center police are collaborating with the Hennepin County Sheriff’s Office, the Minnesota State Patrol, and the Hennepin County Medical Examiner’s Office to track down the suspect.
Authorities have yet to make an arrest and are urging anyone with information about the vehicle or driver involved to contact Hennepin County Dispatch at 911 or (952) 258-5321 to speak with Brooklyn Center police.
