FARGO, N.D. (trfnews.i234.me) – On Thursday, November 28, around 2:30 a.m., Breckenridge Police responded to a 911 call regarding a shooting on 3rd St. N in Breckenridge.
Authorities reported that a 25-year-old man, impaired at the time, attempted to enter another person’s house using keys to his own home. A 67-year-old homeowner, alerted by noises, armed himself with a firearm and unlocked the door. As the impaired individual entered, the homeowner fired three shots, hitting the man twice.
The injured man was transported to Fargo Sanford with life-threatening injuries but is now recovering. The homeowner was unharmed during the incident. After reviewing the case, the Wilkin County Attorney’s Office concluded that no charges would be filed against either party.
