Grand Forks, ND (trfnews.i234.me) — We have a breaking news update on the reported possible kidnapping in Grand Forks earlier this Monday evening.
TRF News has just spoken with Sergeant Star of the Grand Forks Police Department, who confirmed that the incident in the 700 block of North Fourth Street was in fact an attempted kidnapping and/or assault.
The female victim was able to escape and is confirmed to be safe, according to police.
Authorities are reportedly still searching for the suspect, whose identity has not been released at this time. Sergeant Star emphasized that there is no ongoing threat to the public, and the investigation remains active.
The incident unfolded around 8:10 p.m., drawing a heavy police presence to the neighborhood.
