Moorhead (trfnews.i234.me) — A chilling update out of Clay County as a 17-year-old male is now officially charged with first-degree murder in connection with a deadly shooting that took place on June 19th on the 1100 block of 12th Street South in Moorhead.

According to Moorhead police, the Clay County Attorney’s Office has filed a series of serious charges against the juvenile suspect, who remains unnamed due to Minnesota’s data privacy laws. The charges include:

  • First-degree murder with intent

  • Second-degree murder (drive-by shooting)

  • First-degree assault with great bodily harm

  • Assault with a dangerous weapon

  • Dangerous weapons drive-by shooting

The suspect is still on the run, and a nationwide arrest warrant has been issued. Authorities have not yet recovered the firearm used in the crime, nor have they located the suspect vehicle — a white Chrysler 300 with Minnesota plates EJJ 379.

Law enforcement warns there is an ongoing risk to public safety, as the suspect remains armed and dangerous.

Anyone with information about this case is urged to contact the Moorhead Police Department immediately.
