Otter Tail County (trfnews.i234.me) – A Frazee, Minnesota man is now facing a series of criminal charges after a violent outburst at a public lake access turned into an alleged assault involving a steel breaker bar.

According to court records, just before 10:00 p.m. on June 22nd, Otter Tail County deputies responded to a disturbance. They later made contact with the male and female victims at their residence. The victims told deputies that Craig William Blonigan had been yelling at them over a borrowed jack. During the confrontation, the female was allegedly struck in the back with a breaker bar, and both victims were shoved into the lake.

Deputies recovered the steel breaker bar left at the scene. Blonigan reportedly denied using it, claiming the event was mere “horseplay.”

He has now been charged with:

  • Two felony counts of assault

  • Two misdemeanor counts of assault
