FARGO, ND (trfnews.i234.me) – In a distressing incident in downtown Fargo, a woman was seriously wounded in an early Wednesday morning shooting. The episode unfolded in the 10 block of North 7th Street, near Main Avenue and across from the Depot in downtown Fargo. The exact location of the shooting, whether it was in the building at 10 North 7th Street or a neighboring apartment, remains unspecified.
Fargo Police, led by officer Archie Ingraham, were called to the scene at approximately 1:26 a.m. following reports of gunfire. Upon their arrival, they discovered a woman, aged between 26 and 28, suffering from gunshot wounds in one of the apartments. She was promptly transported to a local medical facility, where she is currently receiving treatment for her serious injuries.
In connection with the shooting, police have arrested 30-year-old Kyle Ooa, a resident of Fargo. Ooa was apprehended outside the apartment building without any further incident and is now being held at the Cass County Jail. He faces charges of attempted murder. Early investigations suggest that Ooa and the victim knew each other, but the full details of their relationship and the motive behind the shooting are still being uncovered.
The case remains under active investigation by the Fargo Police Department. At present, authorities have assured that there is no ongoing threat to public safety in the area.
