BREAKING NEWS UPDATE: Sheriff Says Suspected Kidnapping In NW Minnesota Was Domestic Violence Case

MIDDLE RIVER, MN (trfnews.i234.me) – We have an important update on what was initially reported by the Marshall County Sheriff’s Office as a kidnapping. Sheriff Jason Boman has now clarified that the incident was actually a domestic violence case.

Here’s what we know: Christ Rud and Hannah Cummings were found a couple of miles south of Middle River, camped in a tent at a relative’s farmstead on Saturday morning. According to the sheriff, there was a domestic violence incident between the pair the previous night. Rud had left the scene and then returned, leading to their discovery in the tent.

Cummings was not being held against her will and was found safe. However, Rud resisted arrest and scuffled with law enforcement. He is now in custody and facing pending domestic violence charges. Sheriff Bulman thanked all the agencies and individuals who assisted in the search and helped bring the situation to a safe conclusion.
