NELSON COUNTY, ND (trfnews.i234.me) We have an update regarding an accident involving a school bus and another vehicle in Nelson County, North Dakota south of Petersburg.

Neil Berg here with the latest on a Nelson County North Dakota bus crash this is about eight miles south of Petersburg North Dakota we haven’t been able to talk with law enforcement yet but we have talked with a couple teachers apparently the bus was from Hatton Northwood on its way to Mackville for a volleyball game now according to scanner traffic at as many as 25 people were transported to the hospital I will show you that arriving in Grand Forks here in a bit and I should point out that standard procedure if students were on the bus they need to be checked out but one of the teachers says apparently a vehicle blew through a stop sign here on Highway 32 the bus driver tried to stop uh skid in the ditch and the bus tipped on its side and there’s uh water in the ditch where the bus is that we don’t have a real clear shot of all this but anyway uh everyone has now been transported from the scene to Altru in uh Grand Forks a deputy on the scene told us this is an active crime scene here’s some video from Grand Forks we had uh three four ambulances backed up at the emergency room and also uh video coming in here at 5 28 p.m the third medical helicopter landing here at Ultra in Grand Forks it sounds like uh the most serious or maybe fatal injury is to the driver that blew the stop sign uh in the uh bus driver tried to miss him no word on uh the people inside the bus whether there are any serious injuries or not we expect to have more information here within the hour from the Nelson County Sheriff but again a bus accident about eight miles south of uh Petersburg North Dakota it was a hat and Northwood bus on its way to a volleyball game in Mackville another vehicle blew a stop sign on Highway 32 the bus driver tried to stop and wound up flopping over in the ditch and some water uh about eight miles south of Petersburg North Dakota stick with eye news we’ll have more details as soon as they’re available I’m Neil Berg reporting for itrfnews.i234.me
