Perham, Minnesota (trfnews.i234.me) — Early Friday morning, April 11, 2025, a massive fire erupted in downtown Perham, Minnesota, engulfing multiple businesses located at 318 West Main Street. The building, housing several commercial establishments including a property management company and a carpet cleaning business, is reported to be a total loss.
Fire crews from Perham and neighboring communities responded to the blaze, which was reported shortly before 4:30 a.m. Firefighters are working diligently to prevent the fire from spreading to adjacent structures. Roads in the downtown area have been closed to facilitate emergency response efforts.
As of now, there are no reports of injuries. However, Otter Tail Power Company has reported that more than 700 customers are without power in Perham, though it’s unclear if the outage is directly related to the fire.
Authorities are urging residents to avoid the downtown area to allow emergency personnel to manage the situation effectively. The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
