ELK RIVER, MN (trfnews.i234.me) – Sherburne County authorities have confirmed that the body of Cody Jay Pope, 41, has been recovered from the Mississippi River near Elk River. Pope went underwater late Friday morning after rescuing his two children, who were struggling to swim in the current. The Sherburne County Water Patrol located his body Sunday morning near the Oliver Kelley Farm. More than a dozen local and state law enforcement agencies had been involved in the search for him.
