Body of Duluth Man Recovered in Boundary Waters Lake

BOUNDARY WATERS CANOE AREA, MN (trfnews.i234.me) – Canoeists made a grim discovery in the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness as they found the body of Mark Ham, 62, a Duluth man who was on a solo camping trip. The St. Louis County Sheriff’s Office reported that the incident occurred on Lake Agnes, approximately 25 miles north of Ely, Minnesota. Despite efforts by rescue squads from the Sheriff’s Office and the U.S. Forest Service, Ham’s body was recovered without a life jacket. Investigations by the Sheriff’s Office and the Midwest Medical Examiner’s Office are ongoing.
