This in from the Mckenry and Botnau County Sheriff’s Office along with North Dakota BCI and Game and Fish Department. A body has been found at the JC Clark Salar National Wildlife Refuge Refuge, which is in both Mckenry and Botnau counties. Uh this from the news release on uh Thursday at 10:40 a.m. State radio communications received a call from hunters in the JC Clark Sier National Wildlife Refuge reporting the discovery of possible human remains. Law enforcement officials responded to the area and found the report of remains accurate. The scene was processed and the remains were sent to the medical examiner’s office in Bismar. Identification of the remains is currently pending. In February of 2024, the Botnau County Sheriff’s Office took a report of a missing per person from Wills City, North Dakota. At this time, it’s unknown if the remains found on Thursday are associated with that missing person’s case.
