Bloomington, Hennepin County (trfnews.i234.me) – A motorcyclist sustained life-threatening injuries following a collision on eastbound Interstate 494 just past West Bush Lake Road in Bloomington on Wednesday afternoon, June 4.

According to the Minnesota State Patrol, the crash occurred around 4:17 p.m. when a 2014 Ford Escape, driven by 52-year-old Fartun Bashir Warsame of Eden Prairie, cut off a 2000 Harley-Davidson 1200, causing the motorcycle to crash.

The motorcycle’s driver, 31-year-old Anthony Gerald Loesch of Amery, Wisconsin, was not wearing a helmet and was transported with life-threatening injuries to Hennepin County Medical Center.

The road was dry at the time of the crash. Alcohol involvement on Loesch’s part remains unknown. The driver of the Escape was not injured.
