BLACKDUCK, MN (trfnews.i234.me) — A Blackduck woman is facing a list of criminal charges — including felony property damage, assault, DWI, and fleeing law enforcement — after a chaotic series of events on the night of July 5, 2025, in Beltrami County.
According to court documents filed in Beltrami County District Court, Alicia Lynn Ziburski (DOB 02/27/1983) was allegedly behind the wheel of a Dodge Ram pickup that crashed into a wooded lot at the Towns Edge Mobile Home Park in Blackduck. Officers arrived to find the truck stuck in trees and grass, showing clear tire tracks from spinning wheels.
A witness, the park manager, identified Ziburski and told police she was intoxicated. When confronted, Ziburski denied driving but showed signs of impairment, including slurred speech, bloodshot eyes, and a strong odor of alcohol. Moments later, she raised her fists in a fighting stance, threatened Officer Amsden, and attempted to flee on foot.
While attempting to arrest her, a man identified as Patrick Peterson interfered, threatening the officer. During the struggle, Ziburski reportedly punched and kicked the officer. She was eventually subdued but continued to resist, kicking the rear doors of the squad car, causing more than $1,000 in damages, according to the report.
She was transported to the Beltrami County Jail, where a breath test revealed a .14 alcohol concentration — nearly twice the legal limit. Witnesses also told police Ziburski admitted to driving before the crash.
Ziburski now faces the following charges:
-
Felony First-Degree Property Damage (damage exceeding $1,000)
-
Misdemeanor Fifth-Degree Assault
-
Misdemeanor DWI (.08 or more)
-
Misdemeanor Fleeing an Officer on Foot
She has prior convictions, including gross misdemeanor child endangerment.
