Beltrami County, MN (trfnews.i234.me) – A wild incident in Blackduck has landed Patrick Lee Peterson, 37, in jail on charges of obstructing legal process with force and fifth-degree assault, after a drunken crash and a chaotic scene involving an intoxicated woman and aggressive behavior toward law enforcement.
On July 7, 2025, Officer Travis Amsden responded to a report of a Dodge Ram crashed into trees at the Towns Edge Mobile Home Park. A clearly impaired Alicia Lynn Ziburski, who denied driving, became combative, threatening the officer and physically resisting.
Peterson escalated the situation by grabbing Ziburski and interfering with Officer Amsden’s attempts to detain her. As Ziburski tried to flee, Peterson reportedly threatened the officer, saying, “I’m going to beat your… booty.” Ziburski then punched and kicked the officer before both suspects were arrested.
Damage to the patrol vehicle exceeded $1,000, and Ziburski later blew a .14 BAC on a breath test.
Peterson has a previous conviction for obstructing legal process. He now faces gross misdemeanor and misdemeanor charges in Beltrami County District Court.
