Bizarre Shotgun Incident: Grand Rapids Man Faces Assault Charges

GRAND RAPIDS, MN (trfnews.i234.me) – A 55-year-old Grand Rapids, Minnesota man, Allan Kershaw, is facing criminal charges following a bizarre series of events involving a shotgun threat and reports of shots fired. According to court documents, the incident began on June 20th at 9:04 p.m. when a male victim reported that Kershaw had given him a ride earlier in the evening. Later, at M&H, Kershaw allegedly pulled out a shotgun and ordered the victim to get back in his vehicle. The victim fled on foot.

Police were then dispatched to Kershaw’s residence at 803 3rd Avenue Northwest after Kershaw reported shooting someone who was attempting to break into his house. Kershaw claimed to have thrown the body into a pond behind his house. However, police found no evidence of a shooting or a body. They did discover shotguns, shell casings, and two blasts of birdshot into the lawn.

Kershaw was arrested and is now charged with two felonies: assault and reckless discharge of a firearm in a municipality.
