OLMSTED COUNTY, MN (trfnews.i234.me) – In bizarre events, the Olmsted County Sheriff’s Office responded to a single-vehicle accident on Interstate 90 early Saturday morning. The driver, Margo Lewis, a 32-year-old woman of unknown residence, was found outside the vehicle being assisted by a passerby.
Upon inspecting the vehicle, deputies discovered a deceased 35-year-old female in the back seat. The condition of the body raised immediate suspicions, as it was evident that the death was not due to the car accident.
Lewis was transported to the hospital by Mayo Clinic Ambulance for a medical evaluation, then taken into custody and charged with interference with a dead body. She is scheduled to appear in court on Tuesday.
Authorities are withholding the deceased woman’s identity pending notification of next of kin. Multiple agencies are now investigating this unusual and disturbing incident.
