Moorhead, MN (trfnews.i234.me) — In a strange and bold burglary case, Joshua King is now facing felony first-degree burglary charges after being caught stealing from a home’s enclosed porch—and then trying to claim he was renting the place on Airbnb!

According to the statement of probable cause, on February 23, 2025, at 6:05 a.m., law enforcement responded to a Moorhead residence after a homeowner returned from work and found a man inside their front enclosed porch, which was connected to the house.

Another resident spotted the intruder taking items from the porch—including a car seat—and removing them from the home. The situation was captured on the home’s security cameras.

Confrontation Escalates

The homeowner yelled at the suspect to leave, but King refused. When the homeowner threatened to come down with a baseball bat, King responded, “Bring it!”

With tensions rising, the homeowner called law enforcement, who arrived and found King intoxicated. When questioned, King told officers that he wasn’t trespassing—instead, he claimed he was renting the home through Airbnb.

🚨 That excuse didn’t work! Authorities arrested Joshua King, and he is now charged with felony first-degree burglary.
