Bison Soccer Falls at Hawaii

WAIPAHU, Hawaii – North Dakota State soccer fell to Hawaii 4-1 Sunday evening at Waipio Peninsula Soccer Stadium to close out a three-game trip to the Honolulu area.
 
The hosts would take the lead with a goal in the 10th minute, but NDSU (3-2-1) would answer back to level the game in the 21st minute. Freshman Morgan scored her third goal of the season off of an assist from Devon Kavanagh.
 
However, Hawaii (2-4-0) would retake the lead in the 35th minute and carry the advantage into the break despite NDSU outnumbering Hawaii 9-5 in shots.
 
In the second half, Hawaii would grab control of the game, outnumbering NDSU 8-3 in shots and adding two quick goals 65 seconds apart in the 63rd and 64th minutes.
 
Hawaii would finish with a 13-12 advantage in shots and a 7-4 lead in corners.
 
The Bison will return home with the next game coming in a week against Idaho State on September 8. Kickoff is slated for 1 p.m. from Dacotah Field, with the game being televised on WDAY Xtra.
