Bison Basketball Signs Transfer Luke Kasubke

FARGO, N.D. – The North Dakota State University men’s basketball program has signed transfer Luke Kasubke, NDSU head coach David Richman announced Monday, May 13.

Kasubke comes to NDSU from Illinois State, where he played two seasons from 2022-24. He spent his first two collegiate seasons at Kansas State from 2020-22. Kasubke will be utilizing his final season of eligibility with the Bison in 2024-25.

“Luke’s toughness, maturity and experience will bring tremendous value to our already strong roster,” said Richman. “His ability to shoot it at a high level, along with the toughness to defend multiple positions, make him a great fit. We’re excited to welcome him to the family.”

A 6-foot-5 guard from Chaminade High School in the St. Louis metro, Kasubke has logged 1,800 career minutes across 99 games – 46 at Kansas State and 53 at Illinois State. He owns single-game highs of 16 points, eight rebounds, and six assists.

Kasubke was a two-time Class 5A all-state selection in Missouri, scoring nearly 1,500 points in his prep career.
