this in from bismar police a 17-year-old Man is dead the this morning after an officer involved shooting took place in the Kirkwood Mall parking lot three bismar police officers were involved they were uninjured 12:15 a.m. officers responded to the area around 900 South Third Street regarding a report of gunfire in the area multiple calls were received regarding the gunfire and officers were able to determine a shooting took place around the everspring hotel that shooting uh led to police to investigate Nicholas Brewington 17 of bismar for allegedly shooting at another individual juvenile the juvenile is not believed to be injured officers conducted a traffic stop around 1:50 a.m. on a vehicle that Brewington was a passenger in near shields in the Kirkwood Mall parking lot Brewington had a firearm and did not follow commands he was shot by three bismar police officers after securing the scene officers began life-saving measures until he was transported to a local hospital Brewington was pronounced deceased after arriving there the investigation has been turned over to the North Dakota BCI which is a protocol for bismar Police Department all three officers have been placed on administrative leave uh PL pending the investigation by the BCI I’m Neil Berg reporting for I trfnews.i234.me
